Recovery and Resilience Plan

The Recovery and Resilience Plan is a nationwide programme that will implement a set of reforms and investments aimed at pushing the country towards recovery, sustained economic growth and convergence with Europe, guided by a concept of sustainability inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

In Component 6 "Qualifications and Skills" of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), approved by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) of 16 June 2021, Investment RE-C06-i01 is planned:

 

“Modernization of the offer and premises of vocational education and training – Sub-Investment Modernization of Professional Training”, for the modernization and set up of vocational training centres.

 

The Institute for Employment and Vocational Training, IP (IEFP, I.P.) is the body responsible for the physical and financial execution of the Investment.

MODATEX, as a professional training centre with participated management by the IEFP, I.P., is a partner in the implementation of the investment.

 

The investment plan focuses on improving the technical and pedagogical capacity of the Centre's training spaces and aims to:

 

  1. Take on the strategic value of vocational training, within the framework of a close relationship with companies and of response to their effective needs; 5
  2. Update the training offer as a response to the challenges associated with the evolution of labour market needs;
  3. Recognise the central role of skills and qualifications in the current context of digital, environmental and demographic transformation and Industry 4.0;
  4. Make digital technologies accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic conditions;
  5. Reduce socio-economic and geographical inequalities;
  6. Reinforce the skills and expand the qualifications, including technical and digital, of young people and adults;
  7. Modernise professional training, by increasing the quality and diversity of the training on offer, and adapting it to the qualification needs of the different regions and sectors, and enhancing professional guidance processes in emerging areas;
  8. Adopt, in this context, as a reference matrix, the Agreement signed between the Government and Social Partners on 28 July 2021, on Vocational Training and Qualification, considered as a strategic plan for people, companies and the country.

 

The Investment Plan has a provisional budget of 3.781.403,00€, VAT included.

 

Completion by 31 December 2025.

 

Modatex has set the following targets for this Investment Plan:

  1. a) 544 training positions financially supported until 31 December 2023;
  2. b) 680 training positions financially supported until 31 December 2025.
