Training for Youngsters

 

Training Courses

 The Training Courses are basic professional training courses of level 4 for young people, which allow them to obtain school and professional certification, with a strong component of training carried out in a company, with the objective of insertion in the labour market and the pursuit of higher studies. They are aimed at young people up to the age of 29 (inclusive) and with a qualification of the 9th year of schooling or higher, without having concluded secondary education.

The training courses lead to a Diploma of secondary education (12th year) and a Vocational qualification.

Youngsters have the possibility to do an international internship within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Training Courses +

 Training Courses + are post-secondary non-higher education courses that allow participants to obtain level 5 certification with a strong component of training carried out in a company, with the objective of insertion in the labour market and the pursuit of higher studies. They are aimed at young people up to the age of 29 (inclusive) and with a school-leaving qualification of 12th grade or higher.

Youngsters have the possibility to do an international internship within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme

Technological Specialisation Courses (CET)

 Technological Specialisation Courses (CET) They are post-secondary non-higher education courses that confer a level 5 professional qualification, being an alternative for the professionalization of specialized technicians thus responding to the needs of the business sector for intermediate managers. Aimed at young people and adults with at least the completion of secondary school education (12th grade). People who already hold a level III course, as well as level IV or higher education and who want professional requalification will also be eligible.

Trainees of CET courses have the possibility to do an international internship within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme. 

 

 

Young+ Digital Programme

 «Young + Digital» Programme is a training programme for the acquisition of digital skills aimed at young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 who want to improve their digital skills.

These courses have a duration of up to 350 hours, with autonomous certification. The training units carried out are credited towards obtaining a qualification in the digital area at level 4 or 5 of the National Qualifications Framework.

Training for Adults

Education and Training Courses for Adults (EFA)

Education and Training Courses for Adults (EFA) aim to increase the school and/or professional qualification levels of the adult population, through an integrated offer of education and training that increases their chances of employability and that includes Training in the Context of Work in the Curricular Plan.

This pathway is aimed at candidates aged 18 years old or above, or 21 years old or above (in level IV dual certification courses), who are unemployed or employed (outside regular working hours only).

Please note that candidates under the age of 18 may be exceptionally admitted, provided they are already in the labour market.

 

The EFA training offer includes training initiatives:

  • EFA Level 2 Dual Certification:
    • Condition to access 6th and up to the 8th grade
    • awards a certificate of completion of the 9th grade and level 2 Vocational Leaving Certificate
  •  EFA level 2 Professional:
    • condition to access 9th grade
    • awards a level 2 Vocational Leaving Certificate
  •  EFA Level 4 Dual Certification:
    • Condition to access 9th and up to the 11th grade
    • Awards a certificate of completion of the 12th grade and level 4 Vocational Leaving Certificate
  •  EFA level 4 Professional:
    • Condition to access 12th grade
    • awards level 4 Vocational Leaving Certificate
       

Trainees can be awarded a Dual Certification Certificate or a Vocational Leaving Certificate by combining the various forms of Adult Education and Training in which they have obtained Certifications, as long as they obtain the complete qualification (all the short-term training units (UFCDs) and Workplace Training and Practice) of a vocational pathway:

  • through EFA (Education and Training Courses for Adults)
  • through Certified Modular Training
  • through RVCC (recognition, validation and certification of competences) (at QUALIFICA)

Certified Modular Training Courses

 Certified Modular Training aims to develop a prime support for the flexibility and diversification of the continuous training offer integrated in the National Qualifications Catalogue (CNQ) for trainees to perfect, specialise and progressively building up a professional qualification. It is aimed at employed or unemployed people aged 18 or above. This qualification pathway is based on short training units of 25 or 50 hours.

 Trainees of Certified Modular Training courses have the possibility to do an international internship within the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Active Life Training Pathways

 The Active Life initiative is a training pathway which consists of Certified Modular Training with a component of in-house training in a company, with the aim of providing essential skills adjusted to the performance of a given job, with a high level of employability, fast and in order to meet the pressing needs of the textile and clothing sector.

Portuguese Host Language Courses (PLA)

The Portuguese Host Language Programme (PLA) aims at the acquisition of essential skills in the expression and understanding of the Portuguese language and knowledge of basic citizenship rights, understood as essential components of an adequate integration process through a set of training initiatives in the Portuguese language, citizenship and technical Portuguese.

This programme is aimed at adult immigrant population, aged 18 or above, residing in Portugal, employed or unemployed, who can prove that they do not hold Portuguese nationality and that their stay, permanence or residence in Portugal is duly legalised.
